Digital Marketing Spend To Eclipse TV In 2014 Says eMarketer

Digital marketing spend will be greater than TV in 2014 for the first time, according to a new trends report from eMarketer and Dx3. Following a trend of double-digital growth over the past several years, digital ad spend in Canada will reach $3.72 billion and will surpass $4-billion in 2015.

Mobile ad spend will also increase, accounting for $555-million or 15% of the total digital ad spend.

The report goes on to highlight the growth of RTB and programmatic buys in Canada, social media and french-language Internet users.
