Montreal-based real-time advertising platform AdGear Technologies, Inc, has won a major national contract to become the Government of Canada’s first official advertising technology provider.
Under this contract, AdGear will be responsible for providing advertising technology infrastructure to enable cross-channel programmatic media buying for government departments.
In the past, the Government has contracted an Agency of Record for media buying services, but this is the first time that they have selected a separate advertising technology provider.
AdGear operates a proprietary, industry-leading full-stack ad technology platform from offices in Montreal and Toronto, and it offers the skills of an experienced bilingual service team.
In July, Cossette Media was selected as the government’s media and planning agency of record. The agreements for both Cossette and AdGear run until Aug. 31, 2018 with the possibility of two additional one-year option periods.

AdGear will supply the Government with the following advertising technology products:
- AdGear Trader DSP is a proprietary Demand-Side Platform that allows advertisers, media agencies and e-commerce operators to efficiently buy and optimize digital media through major real-time bidding exchanges.
- AdGear Trader DMP is a proprietary audience Data Management Platform that is seamlessly integrated into AdGear Trader demand-side platform. Trader DMP allows marketers to efficiently gather, manage, analyze and activate their audiences across display, video, mobile and social channels.
- AdGear Advertiser is an ad server that allows advertisers, media agencies and e-commerce operators to efficiently serve and monitor digital media campaigns.
