Proximity Promotions - Amber Mac Discusses Location-Based Mobile Marketing With iSign

June 19, 2012
When Amber Mac had the chance to interview Alex Romanov (the President and CEO of iSign) at Dx3 2012, the conversation centred around two key themes: convenience for shoppers, and quick, reliable data for retailers. At its core, iSign broadcasts messaging such as videos, coupons and other marketing material to mobile devices that are within 300 feet of a retailer using it. The user of that mobile device can then choose to accept or decline the service. Location-based services are becoming more and more important, largely due to the increasingly expensive nature of the traditional advertising game. This trend in turn has put the focus on leaner, more efficient alternatives that give retailers the opportunity to speak to consumers who are already in a position to make a purchase.
